back in '06 when i moved to brooklyn, a friend bought me a pake bike frame as a birthday present. i took it to a friends bike shop so we could build it together. to make a long story short, the measurements on the bike box were wrong so when we put the seat post in the seat tube, it was a tight fit but we shoved it in anyway. four years later i decide its too tall for me and i want it lowered. the thing wouldn't budge. we tried everything:
i'm really sad to have to retire the frame, it's been with me in brooklyn (finished good in the first half of the monstertrack alleycat), hartford (won me a few first place girls in alleycats), fargo, st. louis..but it's time has come and there is a spot on the wall for it. pake was AWESOME and offered me a super deal on a new frame, which i totally took up. i'm stoked for it to get here. same frame, same color, but i'm going to powder coat the forks white...word!
