aaaand about a day and a few miles later this happened:





tom tried turning the flywheel and it would not turn so we nervously took off the head. the head of the piston looked fine, the spark plug looked good so we went to the cylinder. it would not budge. we got about an eighth off when we saw what the cylinder walls and piston looked like. it was as if pure black oil or plastic was melted onto everything. it took almost an hour to get the cylinder off. another hour to get the ring free from the piston. another couple hours cleaning the shit out of the gas tank.

a day later we put it all back together. now i think i have a slight air leak from my exhaust but grinding down the fin that won't let the 10mm tool fit should fix that right up. oh yeah, and i don't have breaks. whoops!
